For context, I'm not vegan nor vegetarian, but I do enjoy plant-based dishes! I remember trying chloe. a few years ago when it was BYCHLOE and loving the food. I was super excited to hear that the original owner had opened (or re-opened, I guess?) this restaurant! I shared the Quinoa Taco Salad, Kale Caesar Salad, and Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese. My favorite was definitely the taco salad -- it was spicy, savory, and sweet while delivering a variety of textures. The salad was huge, but I never got tired of eating it! The seitan "meat" leaned more sweet soy than the typical taco seasoning flavors, which was a pleasant surprise and worked better here in my opinion. I have fewer notes on the other two dishes: the mac & cheese is a classic and I would order it again depending on my mood, and the kale caesar was good but not as memorable as the taco salad. I'll 100% be revisiting, and I'm interested in trying the Classic Burger next!

TL;DR - Chloe is a casual, welcoming all-day vegan cafe with a boho-chic, Anthropologie aesthetic & a menu full of vibrant, plant-based comfort food. From elaborate veggie burgers to hearty grain bowls & green goddess-drenched taco salads, there's something for everyone. The vibe is laid-back & effortlessly stylish. The bright, modern space channels an airy, wellness-focused California cafe, making it a great spot for a casual catch-up with friends, or a quick bite. I ordered the Supernatural Bowl, and it was packed with textures & bold flavors. The subtly sweet coconut rice paired well with the smoky roasted shiitakes, black beans, and butternut cheese. The avocado, pickled onion, and baked tofu added creaminess, tang, and protein, while the chipotle tomato sauce tied everything together with a warm, smoky kick. Toasted pumpkin seeds provided the perfect crunch to round out an already fantastic dish. To drink, I had their green juice in a glass bottle--refreshing, crisp, and a great light, cleansing addition to the meal. As a counter-service cafe, the experience is quick, easy, and low-pressure--perfect for a casual, no-fuss meal. The staff was friendly, and my food came out fast but thoughtfully prepared. Chloe is a go-to for fresh, flavorful plant-based fare with a modern twist. Whether you're vegan or just looking for a great grain bowl, veggie burger, or next-level salad, this spot delivers. Casual, stylish, and consistently delicious.

Came to Chloe for a quick brunch bite and coffee and was pleasantly surprised by this vegan café! The inside has a modern and sweet aesthetic, you order at the counter then find a seat. Service was so friendly and kind. I had the truffle avocado toast, which was so so delicious especially with the pickled onions and aesthetically pleasing with edible flowers on top. I also had a coconut vanilla latte, which I enjoyed although I couldn't really taste the coconut. A great option for both vegans and nonvegans!

I'm so excited for the official return of the OG Chloe ! I've been a fan for years and couldn't wait to come back to NY and try all the classic recipes. I arrived a little early, and they weren't quite open yet, but they kindly let me place my order and take a seat. I love the clean, white atmosphere here, especially in the warmer months when they have the doors and windows wide open by the seating area. The avocado toast was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that my bread fell apart immediately after first bite, which was a little disappointing. However, the crunchy marinated onions and whatever seasoning was on top were incredible. The tiramisu was delicious texture-wise, but the amaretto flavor was a bit too strong. I think it could have used more coffee/espresso flavors to balance it out. I also ordered the pumpkin cinnamon roll for later and it was probably my favorite pastry that I've tried so far from Chloe. It held up really well the next day too. The chocolate chip pumpkin banana(?) bread had a great flavor; the pumpkin wasn't too overwhelming, though I think it could use a bit less chocolate chips. I originally planned to get the burger since it was a past favorite, but after having way too many burgers lately, I just wasn't feeling it. I'll definitely try it next time, though, along with one of those incredible looking salads !

Chloe. Ever since visiting NYC and coming across your eatery I have not stopped recommending you guys. Your staff is top notch, they give a sense of welcome when they greet you and serve you. All 6 days I stayed in the city, I made it a priority to stop by and grab a bite. I love sweets! The sea salt chocolate chip cookies were my favorite. The tomato soup was great also keeping me warm in January when I visited. Already planning my next trip to NYC and visiting Chloe. Is in my plans

What a super cute place Chloe got back! I went on a Sunday 4pm and the place was still packed! The service is great - they are fast and super attentive. Coming to the food - I went ahead with warm supernatural bowl on a cold day and it was amazing!!! The combination of black bean, tofu and roasted shiitake was great and this bowl was so comforting! The ingredients are fresh and clean. I am excited to try other things from the menu next time.

As a nonvegan, this place was pretty decent! I tried By Chloe YEARS ago and enjoyed it but unfortunately due to the unfortunate story of Chloe and her former business partners, it closed down. I'm so glad that a couplebyears later, she reopened a place! I got the classic burger and butternut macaroni and cheese. My friend also got a classic burger and roasted tomato basil soup. The burger was very good and it tasted like a normal beef patty burger. I do notice a difference in their cheese since it's vegan cheese but it worked well and was not bad! The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, again, different to a non vegan mac and cheese but this would satisfy any mac and cheese cravings if I were to go vegan. Tomato basil soup was as tasty as a tomato soup can go. This place is great, and I would not mind vegan places if they were this good.

They didn't have the tomato soup nor the ice cream dish when I went unfortunately so I just tried the chocolate chip pistachio cookie. I'm not a fan of added salt on cookies it's too salty. I didn't ask so it wasn't the easiest to eat when I realized. But I do like pistachio on a cookie now...good combination. Pleasant staff, nice seating structure although when companies use material for seating they need to wash/replace frequently -- stained seating is not attractive/comfy to sit on. And this is not a hole in the wall brand. Go, enjoy vegan eats

This was a location I've walked past many times and always saw it was packed both inside and outside. I've heard from various friends and colleagues that it is a popular vegan spot while others expressed it is an over-hyped spot. So I finally went in and left feeling content and very full which is a job well done! The staff was very patient and helpful especially when I expressed that I was in need of a warm coffee. I ordered a drip coffee with oat milk since that is the only warm drink available in their coffee section. It was a simple coffee but on point with the coffee strength and warmth, especially on an extremely cold day when I ordered it. The two items I ordered that left me feeling content and full were the butternut mac-n-cheese topped with shiitake mushrooms and tofu egg scramble with fresh avocado, salad, and sourdough bread. The mac-n-cheese was soft and creamy with toasty shiitake mushrooms that I wanted more sprinkled on my mac-n-cheese. And tofu egg scramble was the right balance of fluffy scrambled eggs with firm tofu paired with fresh avocado and salad. It was quite packed and lively with many tables and a community table. I was lucky to get a table but do time it accordingly if you wish to eat inside. The many conversations filled the space but were not too loud so you could converse with your friends without the need to shout over anybody. The decor of the space, from the assortment of various chairs at the community table to the vibrant wallpaper and wall art, is the ideal foodie photo op. Make this restaurant your introduction to vegan food or add it to your list of vegan restaurants while in the West 4th neighborhood.
